Extracurricular


“Kudos: Good luck getting your child admitted to a university without extracurricular activities. More universities are requiring students to participate in experiential learning outside the classroom. You are missing the point in that our superintendent is focusing on what he deems as low hanging fruit without regards to the potential adverse results for the children.”


Health care


“To the one who blames doctors for poor health care: Show me an ER that will actually turn people away when it can get paid and I’ll start a polka band and play on the square every Saturday. The doctors aren’t the ones making policy.”

Big hands and little hands


“In Wednesday’s political cartoon I fail to see how that wrench wedged between the clock hands will have any effect on the clock unless it is one that runs backwards.”
