MOULTRIE, Ga. — A St. Augustine, Fla., man arrested here Dec. 6 is a person of interest in a shooting in Florida, according to online reports.

First Coast News, television affiliates in Jacksonville, Fla., reported Brandon Calloway is wanted for questioning in the shooting that left a 28-year-old man dead in West Augustine.

Calloway was charged with failure to appear after he was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Colquitt County Dec. 6 and was booked into the Colquitt County Jail.

Back in November, Lavert Durden was shot multiple times at Christopher Street and Aiken Street after an argument, First Coast News reported on its website, www.firstcoastnews.com. He later died from his gunshot wounds.

Police didn’t have any suspect information and sought Calloway for questioning, the website reported. The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said Calloway has outstanding warrants in the county for drugs.
