MOULTRIE, Ga. — A Colquitt County man died on Monday morning from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

A deputy was dispatched at about 9:33 a.m. to the 100 block of Booth Road near Ellenton, according to Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office reports.

The deceased was identified by Colquitt County Coroner Verlyn Brock as Fidel Andrade Martinez.

Martinez had a gunshot wound to the head, Brock said. His body will be transported on Wednesday to a Georgia Bureau of Investigation forensics laboratory for autopsy.

No foul play is suspected, sheriff’s Capt. Mike Murfin said.
