ATLANTA – Rachel Flowers Branch, 93, of Atlanta formerly of Moultrie, died Sunday, January 24, 2016, at Mount Vernon Towers in Atlanta.
Graveside rites will be 1 p.m., Sunday, January 31, at Westview Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Smith officiating.
Members of Mrs. Branch’s family will serve as honorary casketbearers.
Born August 19, 1922, in Kilmichael, MS., she was the daughter of the late Reese Flowers and Mae Holmes Flowers. She was a retired real estate developer and was of the Presbyterian/Methodist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Beverly Branch.
Survivors include her step-son, Edward Beverly Branch, Jr. of Live Oak, Fla.; a step-daughter, Susan Bradford Branch of Flowery Branch, Ga.; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon, Sunday, January 31, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
