 Phillip Gray Rossman, 67, of Moultrie, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at his home.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m., Friday, June 6, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Hugh Ward officiating.

Born Jan. 20, 1947, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Joseph Gray Rossman and Angeline Ellise Cowman Rossman. He was a 1964 graduate of Moultrie High School and a 1969 graduate of Auburn University.  He was the retired vice-president of Rossman Apiaries and was former president of the Georgia Bee Keepers Association, the Southern States Bee Keepers Association and the American Bee Keepers Federation. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where he was a former choir member and a former youth leader. During his high school years, he was a “D.J.” with WMGA Radio in Moultrie. He was a former volunteer at the Moultrie Y.M.C.A. and was a former director of the Georgia Farm Bureau.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Diane Burke Rossman.

Survivors include his wife, Krystal Kaye Russell Rossman of Moultrie; one daughter, Amy R. Ducote and husband Eddie of Mission Viejo, Calif.; one step-son, Russell Taylor and wife Ashley of Atlanta; two step-daughters, Tonya Lenee Barbulescu and husband Sorin and Michelle Elizabeth Taylor, all of Atlanta; one brother, Fred Rossman and wife Ann of Moultrie; two sisters, Elizabeth Lamble and husband John of Sharpsburg, Ga., and Nell Hamrick and husband Jim of Rome, Ga.; five grandchildren, Taylor Brown, Max Barbulescu, Keith Shull and wife Kaylee, Samantha S. Bailey and husband Eric and Bree Sokol; his mother-in-law, Lelia “Lee” Russell of Moultrie; two sisters-in-law, Ruby Chessman of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Ginger Russell of Atlanta; and his brother-in-law, Mark Russell of Moultrie.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., today, June 5, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
