Woman learns her identity was stolen
MOULTRIE, Ga. — A Moultrie woman learned her identity had been stolen when she was notified by tax agents that someone had enrolled in a Florida university using her identification information.
Tiffany Hamilton, of the 400 block of 10th Avenue Southeast, reported that the U.S. Internal Revenue Service got in contact with her about money owed to the agency.
Hamilton told police that the IRS notified her that the person who stole her identity had owed an outstanding balance of $5,100 to the IRS and $720 to Saint Leo University.

• Brandy Barfield 42, 2507 Hwy. 111, was charged on Tuesday with theft by taking and two counts of theft by deception.
• Joshua Actue 35, 662 Skipper Road, was charged on Tuesday with four counts of deposit account fraud.

• Vincente Gonzalez, 38, 308 10th St. S.E., was charged Wednesday with driving without license.
• William Stokes, 42, was charged Wednesday with criminal trespass and theft by shoplifting.
Stokes was arrested after Wal-Mart, 641 Veterans Parkway S. reported that he had been notified not to return to store property. At the time of his arrest Stokes told an officer that he had two corn dogs, a can of Pringles potato crisps and a Coca Cola with a total value of $6 on him that he had shoplifted, police said.
• Quanterrius Toomer, 25, 1186 Sixth St. S.W.., was charged Dec. 6 with reckless conduct and simple assault.

• Burton Warren, 74, reported Wednesday the theft of a Dell laptop computer valued at $369 from his work place in the 900 block of Sixth Street Northeast.
Warren told police the computer was there when he left on Tuesday.

• A Moultrie woman reported Wednesday an incident of indecent exposure.
The woman told police that after dropping her son off at day care at Veterans Parkway South and Southside Drive at about 7:48 a.m. the driver of a white Nissan Frontier was pleasuring himself “while watching her drive.” When she turned onto 26th Avenue Southeast the man continued on Veterans Parkway.
