Griffin appointed chairman of Colquitt County Hospital Authority
MOULTRIE, Ga. – John Griffin has been appointed as the chairman of the Colquitt County Hospital Authority, overseeing the operations of Colquitt Regional Medical Center. He officially took on this role October 1.
Griffin is a Senior Vice President of the First Wealth Management, a division of the First Bank, and brings extensive experience and community involvement to his leadership position. A Moultrie resident for 30 years, he has held several leadership roles, including president of the Kiwanis Club and the Moultrie YMCA. He has also served on the boards of the Colquitt County Arts Center, the Children’s Advocacy Center, and is a deacon at First Baptist Church of Moultrie. He has been an active member of the board, previously serving as chair of the finance subcommittee.
“I am honored to serve as chairman of the Hospital Authority,” Griffin said. “A healthy hospital is vital to a growing community, and I am committed to ensuring Colquitt Regional thrives for many years to come.”
Griffin succeeds Richard E. Turner Jr., who served as chairman for the past three years. Turner will continue to serve as a member of the Hospital Authority.

His commitment to growing our healthcare system and his understanding of our community’s needs will be extremely valuable as he leads the board.”
Other board leadership changes include Richard Bass serving as the new chair of the finance subcommittee.
