Hart chosen as local Star in Agribusiness
MOULTRIE — Recently, the Colquitt County FFA honored Morgan Hart as the local Star in Agribusiness.
Hart’s Supervised Agricultural Experience project began at an early age and he has worked hard to improve his skill in agribusiness as he has gotten older, adviser Adrienne Smith said.
“He has a strong desire to learn as much as he can in the real estate and auction field so that he can one day come back home to work with Rowell Auction Company,” Smith said. “Morgan started as the low man on the totem pole and has steadily gained more responsibility at the business.”
Smith quoted Hart’s boss, who said, “Morgan has developed into a dependable and trustworthy addition to the company and with his experience and participation in the Ag Marketing competition, Morgan could return and be a valuable asset to the continued growth of the company.”
Hart has developed the skills necessary to assist in almost all aspects required of the business, Smith said. He has also been involved in her FFA chapter and has earned his Greenhand and Chapter Degree and is currently applying for his State Degree.
Hart also serves as a volunteer for all of chapter fundraisers and is active in after school FFA activities. He is currently serving as chapter vice president and is running for State FFA Office.
He also has participated in the Meats Evaluation CDE, Forestry CDE, and Discussion Meet and was a member of the Ag marketing Team that placed 2nd in the nation.
He also competed in the Georgia Farm Bureau Young Farmer’s and Rancher’s Discussion Meet and was the youngest individual at the competition.
