Lloyd David Clark, 72, of Norman Park, died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at his home.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Smith and the Rev. Jimmy Voyles officiating. Interment followed in Omega Cemetery. Casketbearers were Chad Purvis, Ernest Donald, Tony Bennett, Ronnie Baker, Danny Warren, Paul Clark, Clark Murphy and Henry Clark.
Born Jan. 29, 1941, in Omega, he was the son of the late James Fletcher Clark and Jewell Hawkins Clark. He was a farmer and was a former member of the Colquitt County Board of Education. He was a member and deacon of Antioch Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Horace Clark, Harvey Clark and James Clark; and two sisters, Edna Clark Murphy and Evelyn Stephens.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Doss Clark of Norman Park; three daughters, Debbie Roberts and husband Mark of Norman Park, Beth Wright of Memphis, Tenn., and Susan Stanford and husband Rob of Lenox, Ga.; two sisters, Maydean Baker of Omega and Myrtle Whittington of Tifton, Ga.; six grandchildren, Astin Roberts and wife Jennifer, LaSondra Clark, Nicholas Wright, Zachary Wright, Tyler Stanford and Clark Stanford; and three great-grandchildren, Bryce Roberts, Dylan Roberts and Ty Roberts.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 21, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Cobb Funeral Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.
