Alavan Weeks Odom
MOULTRIE — Alavan Weeks Odom, 87, of Moultrie died Monday, April 8, 2002, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. on today, April 10, at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens with Mr. Andy Anderson and the Rev. Jerry Robertson officiating.
Born Nov. 18, 1914, in Colquitt County, Mrs. Odom was the daughter of the late Martha Ann Hiers Weeks and Henry Benjamin Weeks. She was a licensed practical nurse and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Spencer Odom.
Survivors include sons, Turner Jeff Odom, Yancy Benjamin Odom and Elkin Van Odom, all of Moultrie, and Wyatt Spencer Odom of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughters, Martha Ann Keva Thompson of Vero Beach, Fla., and Laura Fern Crawford of Moultrie; 16 grandchildren, Anna Weis, Michael Hernandez, Chip Hernandez, Daniel Hernandez, Angela Smith, David Werntz, Wyatt Odom, Wayne Odom, Debra Bond, Diane Fleck, Henry Crawford Jr., Lenora Milam, Belinda Schell, Judy DeNeve, Cindy Byrd and April Odom; and 28 great-grandchildren, Jeremy and Richard Weis, Paul, Jason and Kelli Hernandez, Audrey and Andrew Hernandez, Amanda Hernandez, Johnathan and Vashti Werntz, Laura and Celeste Parrish, Cory and Trent Schell, Alaina DeNeve, Billy and Tammy Thruman, Ivy Odom, Nicole and Tina Fleck, Ruth and Sara Odom, Staley, Tara, Alena and Samuel Smith, Samantha Crawford and Jonathan Castleberry.
Visitation will be from 3-4 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.
Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund.
Cobb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
