The annual minor league baseball reunion will be held Aug. 4-5, with former player Spencer “Onion” Davis, who now lives in Bainbridge, as the guest speaker.
Clint Chafin, who got the annual reunion off the ground several years ago, continues to promote the event.
From noon-12:30 p.m. Sunday, WCTV will air a feature on minor league baseball in the area and will highlight the reunion. Rob Shaw from WCTV interviewed Chafin, Jack Daughtry, Tommy Proctor and Jack Bridwell for the story.
Also, all next week during its 6 p.m. sports report, WCTV will show short segments from the 30-minute show.
Chafin also will be the guest speaker at the meeting of the Moultrie Rotary Club on Tuesday, Aug. 1.
Chafin also has written a story on the history of baseball in Colquitt County that will appear in the upcoming issue of Moultrie Magazine.
