MOULTRIE — The Order of Eastern Star, Queen Ester Chapter #67 of Moultrie, recently donated blankets, cleaning supplies, socks, gloves and personal hygiene materials to a local homeless shelter founded by the Rev. Cornelius Ponder III.
Worthy Matron Sheila Jackson stated that Ponder’s homeless shelter was selected as the recipient for this particular community project because of its non-profit status, and because it was established to help families who are temporarily without a place to call home. She said his shelter provides all the essential living needs for a safe and clean environment.
