Singing

Lewis Temple Church of God in Christ invites the public to An Evening of Singing featuring The Brown Brothers of Valdosta, The Chosen Disciples of Albany, Mother Gracie and The Leonard Brothers of Albany and other choirs.

The event will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at the church, 900-904 Third St. N.W. in Moultrie.

Pastor is Supt. J.W. Lewis.

Church anniversary

The members of Union Baptist Church and the Rev. Freddie and Lady Sylvia Williams will celebrate the church’s 115th anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25.

The Rev. Roland Jenkins of Sylvester and his congregation, New Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Acree, will be in charge of the service.

Jenkins and his wife, Odessa, have six children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Union Baptist has had 13 pastors and three interim pastors. Williams served as interim in 2013 and was installed as pastor Oct. 11, 2014.

The public is invited to join them at the church, 103 Second St. N.W., for the event.
