Rebecca “Becky” Y. Sauder

Rebecca “Becky” Y. Sauder, 57, of Meigs, died Monday, May 10, 2010, at her residence.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, May 13, at Meigs Mennonite Church with Randy Miller and Greg Yoder officiating. Burial will follow in Meigs Mennonite Church Cemetery with Timothy Sommers, Michael Yoder, John David Nissley, Nathanael Sommers, Alvin Nissley, Lauren Yoder, John Michael Neighbors and Gary Yoder serving as pallbearers.

Born Nov. 1, 1952, in Norfolk, Va., she was the daughter of Iva Zook and the late Alva Yoder. She was a secretary and a housewife and was a member of the Meigs Mennonite Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alva Yoder.

Survivors include her husband Richard Sauder of Meigs; sons, Daryl Sauder and Dwight Sauder, both of Meigs, and Robert Sauder of Tuolumne, Calif.; daughters, Cheryl Stoltzfus and husband Daniel of Parkesburg, Pa., and Karen Sauder and Joyce Sauder, both of Meigs; a grandson, Moriah Stoltzfus of Parkesburg, Pa.; mother, Iva Zook of Floyd, Va.; sisters, Ruth Yoder of Floyd, Va., Anna Marie Nissley of Ochlocknee, Esther Sommers of Floyd, Va., Lois Neighbors of Meigs, Mary Ellen Nissley of Floyd, Va., and Judy Martin of Peru, South America; brothers, David Yoder of Floyd, Va., and Daniel Zook of Morgantown, Pa.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be today, May 12, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Meigs Mennonite Church.

The family said it was the deceased’s request that any donations be made to the Meigs Mennonite Church for the Gospel Express Ministries and the Gideons.
