Norman Park students salute local veterans

NORMAN PARK, Ga. — Norman Park Elementary School students participated in a special Veterans Day program on Thursday, Nov. 9. 

Students invited veterans that they know to attend. Jonah Meister, a veteran, told about his experience in the armed forces. The Norman Park Elementary Choir sang songs about America and gave handwritten letters of thanks to the veterans in attendance.

Students were reminded about what Veterans Day means and encouraged to always show thanks to America’s veterans.
