Will Tom Arnold, 72, of Moultrie, died on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at UPAC of Moultrie.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 16, at Luke Strong And Son Mortuary Chapel, where the Ambassador C.L. Ponder III will officiate. Repast will be concluded at 1134 16th Street S.E., the home of Monroe and Lorene Arnold.

He was born on Sept. 22, 1941, in Worth County, to Mercy V. Sumlin Arnold and the late Will Henry Arnold. He was a member of Philco Baptist Church in his younger days. In his spare time, he enjoyed fellowshipping with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Bell Simon; his father; step-son, Freddie Simon; two brothers, Virgil Arnold and Stevie Lee Arnold; one sister, Katherine Wilson; one uncle, Ulyssee Roinson Sr.; and one aunt, Fannie Mae Robinson.

Survivors include his mother, Mercy V. Arnold of Moultrie; one son, Arnold McClendon of Hackensack, N.J.; one step-daughter, Rose King and husband Danny of Moultrie; four brothers, Monroe Arnold and wife Lorene of Moultrie, Governor Arnold and wife Mary of Cordele, Ga., and Edward Arnold and wife Maggie and Johnnie Frank Arnold, both of Moultrie; four sisters, Earnestine Arnold, Josephine King and husband Gary, Darlene Harris and husband Walter, all of Moultrie, and Mary Jean King and husband L.C. of Albany, Ga.; one uncle, Billy Sumlin and wife Jessie of Doerun; three special friends, Desereé Parrish and Robert Daniels, both of Moultrie and Eddie Lowe of Funston; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Luke Strong And Son Mortuary, Ltd.
