MOULTRIE, Ga. — Sunset Elementary School recently honored the Students of the Month for November. 

Each month, a word is chosen as the Character Education Word of the Month and a special celebration for the students chosen is given. The word for the month of November was citizenship. Good citizens take pride in their actions and stand up for what they believe is right, which is what these and other students do each day.

These students were chosen by their teachers to receive this honor for exhibiting good citizenship. This award is part of the school’s character education program led by counselor Patience Hicks.

An ice cream party was given on their behalf for exhibiting citizenship. Each student received a certificate, a special pencil with “Student of the Month” inscribed on it, and a free kids meal from Krystal.
