MOULTRIE, Ga.— Tabitha Ponder Beckford, left, kicked off her campaign for the state Court of Appeals Thursday in Moultrie.

Beckford, daughter of the Rev. C.L. Ponder Jr. and Shirley Ponder, is a Moultrie native but now works as an attorney in the Atlanta area. She’s running to replace Judge Sara Doyle, who has announced her candidacy for the state Supreme Court. Both of those elections are nonpartisan and will be held in May 2020.
