MOULTRIE, Ga. — The Moultrie-Colquitt County Chamber of Commerce’s Tourism Committee recently purchased a Dual Electric Car Charging Station to be use by visitors traveling through the community.
The chamber partnered with the City of Moultrie Utilities Department for the installation of the unit at the Intermodal Facility on Second Street Southeast, according to chamber President Tommie Beth Willis.
“The charging station is listed on plugshare.com, a website that owners of electric cars can log onto in order to find charging stations along their traveling route,” Willis said. “The chamber and the City of Moultrie are excited about new visitors the station will bring to our community. These visitors will have a direct impact on our local economy through shopping and dining while charging their cars.”
