A story in Wednesday’s Moultrie Observer incorrectly described circumstances of a pool renovation project recently discussed by Moultrie City Council.

The project is being conducted by the Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority. The city’s only involvement is the transfer of money from a fund being managed by the city following the 2013 approval of a Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax.

Two pools will be renovated, but both are located in Southwest Moultrie — the Southwest Memorial Pool and the nearby diving well pool. The Northwest Moultrie Pool is not involved in this project.
