MOULTRIE, Ga. — C.A. Gray SkillsUSA students enjoyed a day field trip to the 41st Annual Sunbelt Agricultural Expo Oct. 17.
Students and advisors were introduced to the most current agricultural technologies used in equipment manufacturing, agricultural production, and marketing. Students were able to visit college exhibits and tour ag related industry demonstrations using the latest technology. Several students had the opportunity to operate equipment ranging from ATVs to welding machines.
The Expo experience also helped students realize the many career opportunities offered by the agriculture industry along with a better understanding of food production and natural resource management.
Karlie McMullen, a SkillsUSA member, said, “This trip gave me a chance to learn more about what I’m studying in school and I also was introduced to several careers that I didn’t know existed.”
