Growing Girls Club holds food drive

- Sunset Elementary School’s Growing Girls Club recently held a food drive for the Colquitt County Food Bank. Non-perishable food items were collected by the club members over the past few weeks to help fight hunger in the community. MOULTRIE, Ga. — Sunset Elementary School’s Growing Girls Club recently held a food drive for the Colquitt County Food Bank. Non-perishable food items were collected by the club members over the past few weeks to help fight hunger in the community.
Shirley Hampton and Staci Cortez are the club leaders.
The Colquitt Food Bank is a non-profit organization that has been feeding the hungry in Moultrie and Colquitt County since 1982. They are entirely a volunteer organization and have more than 14 churches, agencies and civic groups that volunteer their time.
