The debut of our revamped magazine, now titled “Moultrie Scene,” has met with great success. We appreciate the kind comments from our readers and our advertisers, as well as the suggestions for features for future editions.
In this fall edition, we bring to you an array of stories ranging from the success of a local artist to the struggles of a child with cancer. As well you will meet the new director of the Moultrie YMCA.
The Moultrie Scene will routinely feature stories about entrepreneurship. In this edition, read about how Sundown Farms as been transformed into a hunting preserve as well as an events center, an enterprise gaining attention on a broad scope.
In honor of our residents who serve us in the military, you will read about a Colquitt County High School graduate who serves on the world’s largest warship. Applause to Nikki Millican for helping to protect our democracy!
As well, Moultrie Scene seeks out stories on those who volunteer their services to make our community a safer and better place in which to raise our families.
In this edition, you will learn about a group of ham radio operators who provide a crucial communications link if all else fails during a natural or even a manmade disaster.
We hope you enjoy learning more about our community and the people who are your neighbors and friends. And again, if you have story ideas for future editions of Moultrie Scene, please contact Kevin Hall at the Moultrie Observer, 985-4545.
Yours truly,
