Money, pizza taken from deliveryman’s car

MOULTRIE, Ga. — A pizza delivery driver discovered Wednesday while he was dropping off a pie at an apartment someone had made off with $10 and food valued at $29 from inside his car.

The driver for Pizza Hut told police that at about 9 p.m. he stopped to make a delivery at an apartment in the 500 block of 27th Street Southeast.

When he returned to his 2014 Toyota Scion, he noticed that someone had entered the car and taken pizza and cash.

• Bridges Auto, 639 Woodman Road, reported Wednesday the theft of cash and property with a total value of $801.

It was the second break-in at the business in recent weeks, with the first burglary netting the thief about $3 in change.

• Wal-Mart, 641 Veterans Parkway S., reported Wednesday the theft — and recovery — of jewelry and other merchandise with a total value of $931.

Sheriff’s Office

• Eddy Summerlin, 700 block Summerlin Road, reported Wednesday the theft of two Napa 4D batteries from a dirt excavator, a red top Optima battery and a John Deere screw terminal battery with a total value of $1,000.

The theft occurred in the 1200 block of Funston-Sale City Road.

• James Hamner, 400 block James Buckner Road, reported Wednesday the theft of two revolver handguns with a total value of $300.

• Charlotte Jarvis, 700 block Highway 319 North, reported Wednesday the theft of a well pump valued at $250.

• Mary-Autrie Marie Horn, 27, 156 Tim and Sally’s Lane, was charged Wednesday with failure to appear.

• George Stephen Johnson, 52, 254 Ruth St., was charged Wednesday with three counts failure to appear.

• Kendra Patrice Lyles, 49, 517 Fourth Ave. N.W., was charged Monday with disorderly conduct.

• Christopher Allen Holt, 40, 214 Shady Grove Road, was charged Wednesday with criminal attempt to commit a felony.

• Billy James Carter, 23, 165 Hawthorne Drive, was charged August 15 with violation of a family violence order and probation violation.

Moultrie Police

• Anthony Lee Brissel, 31, 1204 Fourth St. S.W., was charged Wednesday with failure to appear and probation violation.
