Health care
“So the ranter says that health care is not a right. Well there’s that little thing called ‘life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness’ that might be inclusive of such a notion.
It should be
“If the access to adequate health care is not a right, then it should be.
“If health care is not a right, as the ranter exclaimed, where does the hypocratic oath fit into all of this?
God help us!
“The events over the weekend in Charlottesville, Va., shocked me! I knew we had lots of hate in this country, but I didn’t know it was this bad. God help us!
Trust but verify
“I keep reading a lot about taxes and how they are being spent in our county. So why are’t we see all you people at government meetings. They are opened to the public. You have a right to be there. You have a responsibility to be there. Trust but verify!
Groaning
“With all the groaning from the public on various political issues in Moultrie and Colquitt County, I would expect to see a lot of qualifying for the the next elections. Just kidding! We know how that works.
Observation
“With the last president election, I observed more hate and vitriol expressed than I have in many years. What happened in Virginia is the worst example of that which I think extends from an obtuse American political system these days.
I’m with you
“I’m with you Mr. Walden. I was country when it wasn’t cool. And while I can appreciate many styles of music, I really miss those traditional sounds … the kind that came from the likes of Tom T. Hall, one of my favorite singer-songwriters. In my opinion, his song ‘Old Dogs, Children and Watermelon Wine’ had lots of deep thought in it.
Thanks
“Thanks for the piece on Elvis. I saw him in concert once. It’s so sad when stars can’t handle the pressure that comes with fame.
In response
“You ranters talk about the ‘liberal media.’ I can show you places in this world where you wouldn’t have to put up with a ‘liberal media.’ In fact, you would only read and hear about what the state wanted you to hear about. Maybe you should try it.
