Rants and Raves

Thanks: “Thanks for the update on Hwy. 133. This gives up a big picture of how this project is moving along. Quite frankly, I never thought I would see this in my lifetime.
Cleaning house
Trending
“I hear the new police chief is already cleaning house with some personnel. I understand there have been internal issues for quite some time. I still don’t know why we taxpayers should be paying two police personnel in this issue.
Not for me
“No, I don’t want my kid wearing a uniform at school. It looks like something that might go on in North Korea. I don’t think that’s the way you address bullying.
Not a right
“Health care occurs when one person (sick) pays another person (doctor) for treatment. Government has power to take money (taxes) from citizens to pay for a sick person’s care, but it cannot force a doctor to render care, nor force any person to study medicine. Healthcare is a paid service. It is, therefore, not a right.
Applause
Trending
“After reviewing the five year history of levy published recently in the Observer, I would like to thank the County Commissioners for lowering our taxes over the last three years. I wish our Congress would do the same.
I agree
“I agree also with the comment in Wednesday’s Rants and Raves. Why wasn’t the chief of police job not put in the paper? Why wasn’t others inside the police department given any kind of consideration. Now you see why we are losing good officers to other towns.
Watch and see
“It should be clear to everyone what the N. Koreans want. Each time the U.S. and S. Korea hold a military drill, the N. Koreans think it may lead to an invasion and put their military on alert. It is junk, and they will stop the ICBM build up if we will stop maneuvers. Watch and see.
He wants attention
“For the person who wants the liberal media to leave Trump alone, he went off the record once and then wanted to know why it wasn’t reported. He wants the attention, all on him! He thinks he is still on reality TV!
Keep it up
“Keep writing the way you write Mr. Walden. We need to read about things other than politics and the D.C. circus.
