Dear editor:

NAMI Moultrie hosts an educational session the first Tuesday of every month as part of its community outreach.  Presented by various experts, these informative sessions are driven by topics relevant to individuals and families affected by mental health and substance abuse issues.

However, many topics are of interest to the general population.  The August NAMI Night session is particularly relevant and timely.

Woody Thompson, Ed.D., is a licensed professional counselor who will be speaking on conflict resolution.  Escaping conflict is impossible.  It occurs at the national level, in the workplace, and in the home.

Developing a set of skills to resolve conflict is a worthy goal for individuals and communities as a whole.  This session will provide valuable information.

NAMI Night meetings are always open to the public at no cost and are advertised in the Moultrie Observer regularly.  This coming month NAMI Moultrie is issuing a special invitation for the public to attend this informative session on Conflict Resolution at First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall at 6 p.m. on Tuesday August 1, 2017.  We look forward to seeing you there.
