Man shot on Shanna Circle

VALDOSTA – A shooting occurred in the area of Shanna Circle Saturday, according to Valdosta Police Department reports.

A caller, who refused to identify himself, reported the shooting and officers responded to the area, locating the victim in the 1700 block of East Moore Street.

The victim had gunshot wounds to the torso area and was transported to the hospital, reports stated. He was later flown by helicopter to a larger hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Although the investigation is active, the victim and a majority of witnesses have been uncooperative with the investigation, VPD Lt. Adam Bembry said.

“Citizen cooperation is essential when gathering accurate information during the investigation of violent crimes. If anyone has knowledge or information regarding this incident, they are urged to contact the police department,” Bembry said.
