MOULTRIE, Ga. — This week, the Colquitt County High School FFA is celebrating National FFA Week.

“National FFA week means so much to many people because they are able to celebrate the formative role FFA has had in their lives,” said a press release from the local FFA. “The Colquitt County FFA chapter knows that all of the activities they take part in would not be made possible were it not for the support of their sponsors.”

Members of the CCHS FFA officer team began Feb. 28 on a task to personally thank each sponsor.

“Our sponsors mean a lot to us because their support tells FFA members that this community is there for them and has an unquenchable thirst to see students here in Colquitt County succeed,” said Garrett Harrell, president of the CCHS FFA.  “Our sponsors invest in the lives of FFA members because their contributions make it possible for us to learn essential career and leadership skills that we are able to turn around and use to benefit our community.”

“We want to make sure that our sponsors know that we appreciate them and the support they offer.  To express our gratitude, the FFA would like to return the favor and offer our services to help our sponsors in any way they see fit if the need ever arises,” said FFA Vice President Tyler Robinson.

FFA officers visited Baell Mercantile, Gay’s Tire, Moultrie Tire, and Demott Tractor company Feb. 28.  They are planning to continue to meet with other sponsors and personally thank them as well.
