SunTrust names South Ga. president

ALBANY — SunTrust Bank has named Chris Misamore president of its South Georgia market, which includes Albany, Leesburg, Tifton, Valdosta, Moultrie, Sylvester and Thomasville.  

In this role he will provide sales, market and community leadership across all of the bank’s major business units, and coordinate and lead the local Advisory Board.  Misamore will continue to serve as commercial relationship manager for the broader South Georgia market area.

Misamore will report to SunTrust Bank region president, Jim Manley.

“Chris brings a proven track record of sales success and leadership to his new role. He is an accomplished leader who is client focused, and strives to make himself and those around him better,” Manley commented.

Misamore joined SunTrust in 2010, and effectively served in key positions in Sales and Marketing, Executive Management, and Commercial Lending within the organization. Prior to joining SunTrust, he excelled in sales and sales management with both BellSouth and Abbott Labs.

A native of Macon, Misamore has been a resident of South Georgia since 2012. He is an active member of the Albany Rotary Club, a tutor/mentor for the Whiz Kids Tutorial Program in Albany, as well as a member of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce.
