Mary Elizabeth Jones Hester

MOULTRIE, GA.- Mary Elizabeth Jones Hester, 90, of Moultrie, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Graveside rites will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29,  at Pinecrest Memory Gardens with the Rev. Matt Greene officiating.

Born November 24, 1925, in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jones and Minnie Ree Burnette Jones.   She was a clerical worker with Bridgeport Brass, later retired from Belk in Moultrie, and was a member of Kingwood Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Luther Hester; a daughter, Regina Hester Connell; and five brothers and sisters.

Survivors include two grandchildren, Clayton Connell of Moultrie and Tamara Connell Tyson of Pelham; two great-grandchildren, Drew Tyson and Kaitlyn Tyson; and a sister, Nell Lesan of Jacksonville, N.C.
