OCHLOCKNEE, Ga. — William Hilton McCranie, 74, of Ochlocknee, died Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at New Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Mack Beck and the Rev. Raymond McCranie officiating. Interment will follow in New Bethel Cemetery.

Born Nov. 20, 1941, in Berlin, he was the son of the late Marion Hilton McCranie and Loraine Copeland McCranie. He was a self-employed heavy equipment operator and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Patricia McCracken McCranie of Ochlocknee; three daughters, Debra Patricia Stevens of Douglas, Tammy Michelle Brown of Moultrie and Renae Barnum of Thomasville; eight grandchildren, Ashley Estrada, Amber Stevens, Aren Foskey, Cassidy McKinney, Keria Ellis, Summer Brackin, Michael Green and Cooper Green; 16 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Raymond McCranie of Tallahassee and Frank McCranie of Panama City, Fla.

The family will greet friends after the memorial service on Friday at New Bethel Baptist Church.
