ALBANY — Betty Willena Hagin Carr, 78, of Albany, Ga., died Jan. 17, 2016, at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Lakeside Baptist Church. The Rev. Ken Chancellor will officiate. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery with family and close friends.

A native of Colquitt County, born to the late Herman and Mary Adams Hagin, Mrs. Carr had resided in Albany since 1957, moving from Moultrie. She was a homemaker and was employed with her family business, Safe-Aire Heating and Cooling, where she served as the secretary and treasurer. Mrs. Carr was a charter member of Lakeside Baptist Church and was a member of the Pastor’s Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Charlton H. “Red” Carr, and son and his wife, Barry Dave and Julie Carr, all of Albany; two sisters, Patricia Preston of Albany and Mary Virginia Faison of Lee County, Ga.; two grandchildren, Laura Siskey and husband Jonathan, and Kelly Lane and husband Matt, both of Albany; and two great-grandchildren, Abigail and Tabitha Lane. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Stacey Lane Marshall; a grandson, Stephen Charlton “Rocky” Carr; and three brothers, Herman Hagin Jr. (Jabo), Harris Hagin, and Larry Hagin.

 The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 until 7 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
