Amanda Lynne Pitts

SYLVESTER — Amanda Lynne Pitts, 33, of Sylvester, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, at her home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, at Union Baptist Church in Doerun with the Rev. Todd Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, 2693 Evergreen Road, Doerun, Ga.

Casketbearers will be Zach Fallin, Aaron Beamon, Randy Bell, Kyle Bell, Todd Holt and Tim Holt. The Home Depot family will serve as honorary casketbearers.

Born Sept. 6, 1982, in Atlanta, Ga. she was the daughter of Sherrie Gossett Pitts Graham and stepfather Darrell of Moultrie and the late Roy Alvin Pitts. She was a member of Union Baptist Church and was a cashier at Home Depot in Albany.  

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William Pitts and Nona Pitts; and maternal grandparent, Thomas Warren Gossett Sr.  

In addition to her mother and stepfather, survivors include her special friend, Tracy Scott Holt of Sylvester; sisters, Ashley Chevelle Hope Pitts Beamon and husband Aaron of Moultrie; brother, Alexander Tyler Pitts and special friend Helen Rose Wales of Moultrie; stepsister, Brittany Fallin and Zach of Moultrie; and grandmother, Marion Francis Gossett of Moultrie.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
