MOULTRIE — Juanita Vick Davis, 89, formerly of Perry, died on Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, on her birthday. A graveside service was held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 3, at Evergreen Cemetery in Perry with the Rev. David Grantham officiating. The family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Alzheimer’s Association, Central Georgia Chapter, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, Ga., 31201.

Mrs. Davis was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Cassie J. White Vick and was born in Pickens County, Ga. She resided in Fitzgerald for many years, where she raised her family before moving to Perry nearly 30 years ago. Very active in the First Baptist Church of Perry, she helped with the Benevolence Committee and was in the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. After her beloved husband, Grady Davis Sr., died, she moved closer to her family and returned to Fitzgerald. She joined First Baptist of Fitzgerald where she was in the Dorcas Sunday School Class. She enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, and quilting, but the loves of her life were her husband, Grady, and her children and grandchildren, her family said.

Survivors include her children, Grady Lee Davis Jr. (Jan) of Moultrie, Penny Pippin of Forsyth, Sandy Postell and Robbie Bertram (Mike), both of Albany, and Cathy White (Ken) of Fitzgerald; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren, who lovingly called her “MeMe”; her siblings, Eddie Vick of Jasper, Marleen Hewitt of Chatsworth, and Brenda Collis of Jasper; and several nieces and nephews.

Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com or www.moultrieobserver.com.

Watson-Hunt Funeral Home of Perry was entrusted with the arrangements.
