MOULTRIE — Sally Faye Alderman Fletcher, 86, of Moultrie died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at her residence.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday Jan. 12, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Woods officiating. Interment will follow at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
Casketbearers will be Larry Manning, Ronald Penuel, Roger Lewis, Gary Broom, Billy Mock and Loren Hildebrant. First Baptist Church No. 6 Sunday School Class will serve as honorary casketbearers.
Born Jan. 19, 1929, in Adel, she was the daughter of the late Robert M. Alderman and the late Sally Folsom Alderman. Her hobby was Tole painting, her family recalled. “This talent was shared with many people and her most enjoyable time was teaching the oldest adult ladies classes to Tole paint in different churches,” her family said. “Mrs. Fletcher was extremely talented with using oil paints and acrylics and she had a passion for painting old buildings on farmlands. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was a good wife, mother, and grandmother, loved to shop and loved her church family.”
Survivors include her husband, Jack Morris Fletcher; one son, Michael J. Fletcher and wife Elaine of Lake Butler, Fla.; one daughter, Linda Gail Beaver and husband Bob of Moultrie; two grandchildren, Jon Fletcher and wife Kristie and Kelly Christie and husband Michael; three great-grandchildren, Mia Christie, Klara Fletcher and Isaac Fletcher; and two sisters, Eunice Dean of Adel and Wilda Taylor of Adel.
The family received friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 11, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
