MOULTRIE — David Neal Yarbrough, 64, of Moultrie, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at his residence.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Toons, the Rev. Paul Worsham, and the Rev. Jerry Deans. Interment with police honors will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Darren Yarbrough, Bayley Yarbrough, Kyle Yarbrough, John Shelley, Codie Land, Jack Singletary and Chris Tyson. The deacons of Oak Grove Baptist Church will serve as honorary casketbearers.
Born Oct. 12, 1951, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Robert Neal Yarbrough and the late Mary Iiola Guy Yarbrough. He was a retired police officer from the Moultrie Police Department with 25 years of service and was the former owner of Yarbrough Garbage Co. and Rent a Husband. His family remembers how he enjoyed life, laughter, and family.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Doris Stripling, Faustine Barker, and Deborah Sellers; and one brother, L.M. Yarbrough.
Survivors include his wife, Vicky Singletary Yarbrough of Moultrie; two sons, Scotty Dell Yarbrough and Jennifer and Trampus “Bo” Yarbrough, all of Moultrie; one daughter, Brandy Yarbrough Barlow and husband Raymond of Hartsfield; six grandchildren, Darren Yarbrough, Bayley Yarbrough, Kyle Yarbrough, Kaitlyn Yarbrough, Emma-Leigh Howell and Madison Barlow; two brothers, Robert Yarbrough and wife Sherry of Doerun and Billy Yarbrough and wife Voleta of Moultrie; three sisters, Jackie Weeks of Sparks, Bobbie Chapman and husband Robert of Norman Park, and Peggy Tyson and husband Troy of Moultrie; two brothers-in-law, Gary Sellers of Leesburg and Wynton Stripling of Moultrie.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 11, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
