A county man accused of pushing his girlfriend, making threats toward relatives and wielding a knife faces battery and assault charges in connection with a Friday morning disturbance.
Kaitlyn Kastelic reported that her boyfriend pushed her and threw things at her and also made threats at the 184 Deer Run residence where he lives with his grandparents.
And Ronald Davis told police that his grandson threatened him and his wife. He also said that he witnessed the attak on Kastelic.
Police initially were unable to locate Brandon Keith Roberts, whom they found hiding behind bags of clothes. He refused to discuss the incident, but told police that it did not turn physical. He also told them that he did not make any threats.
When deputies took Roberts into custody he refused to walk to a police car, forcing officers to carry him, police said. Roberts was charged with simple battery and two counts of simple assault.
In another family dispute, Van Suber, 800 block Wilburn Murphy Road, reported that a male relative came into his bedroom to take his wallet and started hitting him.
Suber told police that he pushed the man off of him and grabbed a lug wrench to defend himself. His attacker took the lug wrench from him.
He then left the residence on foot, Suber, who had a cut on his left wrist, told police.
Warrants will be taken, police said.
