Jack N. “J.J.” Bridges Jr., 25, of Camilla, Ga., died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at Mitchell County Hospital in Camilla.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., today, Oct. 8, at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home with interment in Pinecrest Memory Gardens. The Rev. David Pickering, the Rev. Tim Bozeman and Thomas Peter Allen will officiate.

Born Feb. 16, 1988, in Dougherty County, he was a welding fabricator and attended Sale City Baptist Church and Camilla First Assembly of God.

He was preceded in death by his step-father, Terry Carpenter; grandmother, Ester Lee Bridges; and grandfathers, Willie D. Bridges and Col. Clyde Slocumb.

Survivors include his mother, Stali Allen Carpenter of Camilla; his father, Jack N. Bridges and wife Regina, of Pelham; sisters, Jessica Sanders and husband Robert of Sale City, Heather Tinsley and husband Blake of Pelham, Hope Bridges of Camilla, Karen Black and husband Mike of Cottondale, Fla., and Kellie Carpenter of Augusta, Ga.; brothers, Dustin Bridges and wife Ashly of Pelham and Will Bridges of Pelham; grandmother, Jackie Allen Slocumb of Doerun; and grandfather, T.P. Allen of Smyrna, Ga.

Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m., on Monday, at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home.
