Hope House announces new leadership team

Two Hope House volunteers have been promoted to leadership positions with the pregnancy care center and thrift store.

Katrina Bivins was recently named executive director and Jill Trebony was recently named ministry director, according to a press release from the Moultrie charity.

“The board [of directors] feels this will enable Hope House to be a more effective ministry reaching the needs of those in our community who are dealing with unplanned pregnancy and financial struggles of clothing their families,” the press release said.

Hope House in a non-profit ministry that has been in establishment since 1989 providing services of a thrift store and a pregnancy care center to all of Colquitt County with free pregnancy tests, parenting classes, and low price clothing and household goods.

Bivins volunteered more than a year in the pregnancy care center before moving into the executive director position. In her new job, she’s responsible for administration and public relations for both the thrift store and pregnancy care center. She is married to David Bivins and has two daughters, Ashley and Emily.

Trebony volunteered more than five years in the pregnancy care center before being named ministry director. In her new job, she is responsible for training volunteers, parenting classes, pregnancy testing, and Mommy Mall. She is married to Dr. Todd Trebony and has two daughters, Haley and Cassidy.

Bivins and Trebony ask the community to support Hope House through donations of clothing, household goods or monetary gifts. All donations are tax-exempt.
