William “Buster” Bartow Morgan

William Bartow “Buster” Morgan, 68, of Moultrie, died Thursday, May 19, 2011, at his home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, May 22, at Hopewell Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Felts officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ronnie Moore. Interment will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Chris Morgan, Jerry Tillman, Tony Powell, Rick Marler, Mickey Hood and Louie Hood. Honorary casketbearers will be the members of Bob’s Hunting Club.

Born May 15, 1943, in Ocilla, Ga., he was the son of the late Hollis Preston Morgan and Abigail Tucker Morgan. He retired as head mechanic at Riverside Manufacturing Company and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bud Morgan and Buddy Morgan.

Survivors include his wife, Christie Connell Morgan of Moultrie; one daughter, Carrie Morgan Hembree and husband Donald of Sylvester, Ga.; two sons, Christopher Alan Morgan and wife Angela of Moultrie and Clinton Morgan of Douglasville, Ga.; one brother, Richard Cargile and wife Dean of Ocilla, Ga.; three sisters, Virginia Miles and husband Donald and Brenda Paul and husband Edwin, all of Fitzgerald and Linda Griner and husband Herman of Perry, Ga.; and five grandchildren, Hannah Hembree, Natalie Hembree, Madeline Morgan Marler, Sydney Morgan and Kai Morgan.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., today, May 21, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cobb Funeral Chapel.
