Stanley Franklin Wade Sr.
MOULTRIE — Stanley Franklin Wade Sr., 90, of Moultrie died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Wade was born Aug. 23, 1914, in Red Bank, N.J. He was a hotel clerk at the International Inn in Tampa, Fla., and was of the Presbyterian faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Compton Wade, who died in 1973.
Survivors include a son, Frank Wade and wife Elizabeth of Thomasville.
Cobb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Elfriede Reiber
ERLENSEE, Germany — Elfriede Reiber, 80, of Erlensee, Germany, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004, at St. Vincent Krankenhaus in Hanau, Germany.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, at Lifespring Community Church with the Rev. Julian Griner officiating.
Born April 19, 1924, in Oberndorf am Neckar, Germany, Ms. Reiber was the daughter of the late Anna Gall Reiber. She was a retired civilian with the U.S. Air Force.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Hans Reiber, and one son, Harry Reiber.
Survivors include a sister, Gerda Bludschun of Stuttgart, Germany; four daughters, Rosalind Courson of Moultrie, Yvone Colletti of Paris, Marion Fink and Rosemarie Reiber; one son, Josef Reiber; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mary Louise Thomas
DOUGLAS — Mary Louise Thomas, 62, of Douglas died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at Coffee Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at Douglas City Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Wiley officiating. Active pallbearers were Daniel Atkinson, Tony Hand, Don Lott, Fiore Barile, Aden Griffis, Henry Cohen and Danny Lott. Honorary pallbearers were members of Alcoholics Anonymous, New Hope Recovery and Williams Plus.
Born June 25, 1942, in Coffee County, Ms. Thomas was the daughter of the late Hillie and Jennette Walker Thomas. She was a retired bookkeeper.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Thomas, and two sisters, Evelyn Thomas and Dorothy Mae Yarberry.
Survivors include one daughter, Lilla Jenie Smith of Moultrie; two sons, Glen Daniel Smith of Moultrie and Darin Hutcheson of Tifton; two brothers, Wesley Thomas of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Jimmy Thomas of Columbus; a sister, Lovie Ann Riggins of Douglas; and three grandsons, William Arnold, Christopher Arnold and Michael Arnold, all of Moultrie.

Mary-Margaret “Mimi” Pickels
MORVEN — Mary-Margaret “Mimi” Pickels, infant, of Morven died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Fla., after a lengthy illness.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at First Baptist Church of Quitman with the Rev. Sammy Hiers and the Rev. Loren Hildebrant officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include her parents, Anthony and Vickie Pickels of Morven; two sisters, Nickie Myers and Savanna “Jazzi” Pickels, both of Morven; one brother, Corey Myers of Morven; paternal grandparents, Howard and Mary Pickels of Valdosta; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Maxwell-Miller Funeral Home in Quitman.

Alma Thompson Strickland
HARTSFIELD — Alma Thompson Strickland, 90, of Hartsfield died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Graveside rites will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Paul Worsham officiating.
Born Jan. 13, 1914, in Colquitt County, Mrs. Strickland was the daughter of the late Emiline Wamble Thompson and the late Starlin Kenneth Thompson. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Andrew Franklin Strickland; a son, Kenneth Strickland; and a daughter, Margie Elaine Strickland.
Survivors include a son, Jimmie K. Strickland and wife Peggy of Albany; two daughters, Sara Carlton of Live Oak, Fla., and Freida Carr and husband Jim of Columbus; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 tonight at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

MOULTRIE — Martha M. Hunt, 61, of Moultrie died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at Brownwood Nursing Home.
