Moultrian charged with operating illegal nightclub

A Moultrie man faces charges of operating an unlicensed night club related to a loud Friday morning party in the 1000 block of First Street Northeast.
Jauntae Antwon Hutchinson, 28, 1112 14th St. S.E., was charged Friday with operating a business without a license and noise-ordinance violation, the Moultrie Police Department said.
Officers investigating noise at A&A Car Wash, 1321 First St. N.E., heard loud music and a large crowd outside, police reports said. Police also found numerous open alcoholic beverages inside and reports said that music could be heard a long distance away.
Suspected marijuana also was found in a dancing room inside the building, police said.
On Nov. 18 police went to the location, where Hutchinson told them that he was hosting a birthday party, agency reports said.

• Peggy Lee Trim, 44, 1024 Second Ave. N.W., was charged Sunday with probation violation.
• Freddie Lee Hadley, 48, 3767 Ga. Hwy. 111, Hartsfield, was charged Wednesday with driving under the influence.
• Lee Saxton, 70, 1606 Sixth Ave. S.E., was charged Wednesday with driving under the influence, open container violation and failure to maintain lane.
• Joshua Alan Thompson, 26, 272 Old Timey Trail, was charged Thursday with public drunk.
• Wesley Douglas Broussard, 73, 703 12th St. S.E., was charged Friday with disorderly conduct.
• Joshua Adam McMurphy, 27, 274 Dick Traylor Road, was charged Saturday with driving under the influence, driving with suspended license and speeding.
• Darren Savon Huntley, 19, 2212 West Blvd., was charged Wednesday with battery.
• Terri Corbin, 49, 128 Myrtle St., was charged Saturday with no insurance and driving with a suspended tag.
• Ketwanna Nicole Hawkins, 20, 491 Big Blvd., Norman Park, was charged Saturday with suspended tag and no insurance.
• Michael James Clint Nixon, 31, 595 Joe Griffin Road, Norman Park, was charged with suspended license and head lights required.
• Gloria Daniels, 52, N. Madison St., Thomasville, was charged Saturday with disorderly conduct.
• Byron Drew Croft, 24, 119 Royal Ave., Thomasville, was charged Sunday with speeding and suspended license.
• Carlos Francisco, 21, 700 Sardis Church Road, was charged Sunday with driving under the influence, no driver’s license, open container violation and failure to maintain lane.
• Timothy Hayes, 41, 190 Dennis Powell Lane, was charged Sunday with suspended tag, no insurance and suspended license.

• Keith Raynard Herring, 42, 246 China Berry Lane, was charged Friday with driving while license withdrawn.

• Alton Randall Cobb, 43, 147 Agatha Drive, Deltona, Fla., was charged Friday with battery.
• Jamie Lavone Law, 34, 226 Tallokas Estates, was charged Wednesday with probation violation.
• Mayank Hasmukhbhai Metha, 35, 707 E. Union Drive, Doerun, was charged Saturday with driving under the influence, driving while license withdrawn and failure to drive within a single lane.
• Ericka Iavonne Moctezuma, 21, 504 Rossman Dairy Road, was charged Wednesday with failure to appear.
• Darryl Eugene McCoy, 51, 132 Old Adel Road, was charged Friday with probation violation.
• Jose Sanchez, 30, 1088 Alton Road, Norman Park, was charged Saturday with driving under the influence, driving while license withdrawn, failure to drive within a single lane, open container violation, possession of marijuana and seat belt violation.
• Manuel Govea Solis, 28, 259 N. Pine Drive, was charged Friday with driving without a license and failure to drive within a single lane.
• Frank Walker, 63, 513 Fifth Ave. N.W., was charged Friday with possession of cocaine and failure to drive within a single lane.
Thefts
Moultrie Police Department
• Murphy’s Express, 505 Veterans Parkway S., reported Saturday that store video showed a man take two 24-packs of beer and walk out of the store without paying for it.
The man reportedly left on a bicycle with the beer valued at $38.
• George Davis, 1100 block 10th Avenue Southeast, reported Sunday the theft of prescription medication and a cordless phone.
Davis told police that someone pushed a window air conditioner into the house to enter the residence.
Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office
• Ocie Richter, 600 block Rosencrantz Road, reported Wednesday the theft of a 1993 GMC Suburban.
A sheriff’s deputy investigating a report on Saturday of an abandoned vehicle found the vehicle wrecked on Smithwick Bridge Road, sheriff’s reports said.
• David Gerlach, 1100 block Cook Road, reported Friday that a telephone was taken from a house in the 2100 block of Old Berlin Road.
• Bob Powell Greenwood Drive, Carrollton, Ga., reported Friday that $1,405 worth of property was stolen from a relative’s house in the 100 block of Gray Powell Lane.
• Kenneth Hammock, 100 block Lee Lewis Road, reported Saturday the theft of three green and red Sinclair Oil signs and two metal bed frames.
A deputy reportedly spoke with two people seen in the area. Later, Hammock discovered that the property had been returned.
• Regina Gammage, 100 block Yates Lane, reported Sunday the theft of a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix valued at $5,000.
Property damage
Moultrie Police Department
• Melinda Kent, Norman Park, reported Friday that the tires of a Chevrolet Blazer were slashed while parked in the 2400 block of Fifth Avenue Southeast.
Damage was estimated at $500.
• Mary Brady, Moultrie, reported Saturday that the driver of a large SUV backed into her car in the 600 block of Veterans Parkway South.
• Rodney James, 200 block Hillcrest Avenue, reported Sunday that a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe was damaged, with both exterior mirrors broken, windows scratched and the back hatch window broken.
Damage was estimated at $1,200.
Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office
• Ginger McNabb, 1000 block Bay Road, reported Friday that a central air conditioner, storm door and door jamb were damaged at a house in the 300 block of Hopwewll Church Road.
• Josh Butler, 2200 block Lower Meigs Road, reported Saturday that holes were punched in sheet rock of his recently purchased residence.
• Maxine Barge, 1100 block Sumner Road, reported Saturday that the front fender of a 2006 Dodge Stratus was damaged while parked in the 100 block of Cobblestone Trace.
• Kayla McCloud, 1800 block Overlook Drive, reported Sunday that a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu was damaged, with the driver’s window broken, all tires flattened and dents and scratches all over the vehicle.
Other investigations
Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office
• Several residents near the 200 block of Country Circle reported hearing a loud explosion and gunshots at about 10 p.m. Friday.
People in the area thought the noises came from different locations, sheriff’s reports said, and officers who searched the area found no evidence of an explosion.
• Kevin Pierce Jr., 600 block Culbertson Road, reported Saturday that several unauthorized charges totaling about $1,000 were made on a bank account. The charges were made in several states.
