Gracie Dean Thomas
MOULTRIE — Ms. Gracie Dean Thomas, 59, of Moultrie died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, at her residence.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at Live Oak Baptist Church with the Rev. J.W. Greene officiating. Burial will be at St. James Pallbearers Cemetery No. 2. Pallbearers will be Jermaine Thornton, Michael Henry, Isaih Walker, Anthony Bailey, Terrell Barge and Levertrius Johnson.
Born June 24, 1944, in Colquitt County, Ms. Thomas was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Elma Jean Davis Thomas. She was a cook for the Colquitt County School System and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Regina Thomas.
Survivors include her husband, David Henry of Moultrie; a son, Nicholsun Henry of Moultrie; five daughters, Helen Daniels of Moultrie, Sheila Daniels of Lakeland, Fla., Sandra Daniels, Mary Henry and Vanessa Henry, all of Moultrie; a brother, Fred Thomas of Trenton, N.J.; five sisters, Violet Rich of Moultrie, Elizabeth Jones of Seaborn, Fla., Vera Thomas of Moultrie, Mary Thomas of Trenton, N.J., and Johnie Walker of Moultrie; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pauline Maxwell Taylor
MONTICELLO, Fla. — Mrs. Pauline Maxwell Taylor, 85, of Monticello, Fla., died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, at Olive Baptist Church , Jefferson County, Fla. Interment will follow in the Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor was a native of Ashburn and a former resident of Moultrie before settling in Monticello, Fla., in 1942. She was a member of the Home Demonstration at Bethel School in her early years. She was a long-time member of the Adult Sunday School class at Olive Baptist Church, where she was a member for 53 years.
Survivors include two sons, W.R. “Ray” Taylor and wife Faye of Tallahassee, Fla., and Paul Taylor and wife Melissa of Monticello, Fla.; a daughter, Gwen Halpin and husband John Jr. of Monticello, Fla.; a brother, R.B. Maxwell of Albany; two sisters, Inez Mercer and Estie Howell, both of Moultrie; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Olive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

Horace Felton Norman
LENOX — Horace Felton Norman, 81, of Lenox died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at Beverly Healthcare in Tifton.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, at New Hope Baptist Church with the Revs. Lennon Howell and Stanley Norman officiating. Burial will be in Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be John Norman, Michael Norman, Felton Norman, Mike Weaver, Mark Weaver and Brian Daniels. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of New Hope Baptist Church.
Born Jan. 20, 1922, in Colquitt County, Mr. Norman was the son of the late Joel Ansel Norman and Bessie Newbern Norman. He was a farmer. Mr. Norman was a volunteer at the Agrirama in Tifton for several years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Norman.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Griffin Norman of Lenox; three sons, Randall Norman and wife Lougene of Lenox, Ronald Norman and wife Margaret, Rex Norman and wife Laurie, all of Tifton; a daughter, Gwen Daniels and husband Orik of Norman Park; brothers, Preston Norman and wife Avis of Moultrie, J.A. Norman and wife Bama of Moultrie; a sister, Gloria Young of Moultrie; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.

Nora Massey Tucker
MOULTRIE — Nora Massey Tucker, 81, of Moultrie died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Stanley Norman officiating. Burial will be at Murphy Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Tucker, Jeffrey Tucker, Kevin Tucker, Mark Tucker, Jamey Tucker and Clint Handfield.
Born Aug. 27, 1922, in Colquitt County, Mrs. Tucker was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Fillyaw Massey and Nathan Massey. She was a retired cafeteria worker with Cox Elementary School. Mrs. Tucker was an avid gardener and loved flowers. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Washington Tucker, and a brother, Gene T. Massey.
Survivors included a brother, W.J. Massey of Philadelphia; two sisters, Vida M. Burgess of Moultrie and Margaret M. Jones of Loganville; and a special niece, Barbara Tucker of Moultrie.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. tonight at the funeral chapel.
