“Praise to our utility crews who were out in the eye of Sunday’s storm clearing roads and restoring electrical power. We are very saddened to hear of the lives lost in surrounding counties.

Go Falcons!

“Hooray for the Atlanta Falcons! They carved up the Green Bay Packers and now move on to the Super Bowl in two weeks in Houston. It was great to see so many of the sports commentators have to eat a little crow. All season, Matt Ryan and his crew quietly went to the office and did their work. 

Adultery

Right to life

“How many people does it take to make a baby?  How many have the ‘right’ to kill the baby?  Under which code of law did they find that right?  Where is the ‘one that carries it gets to kill it right’ found?  What happens to a man if he kills a fetus?  Hitler only killed 11 million. American women have killed about 30 million since Roe v. Wade.  Talk about a right.  What about a right to life?

Both are dangerous

Our jail

“ The original design of our jail did not foresee the expanded use this facility would require. We might as well brace ourselves that in the not-too-distant future, we will have to build a new facility. It’s all relevant to the progression and prolific nature of our criminal element.

Be proud of it

“I just read the article Connie Fritz wrote about future ideas for the Art Center. They are awesome. We as a community need to be proud of our Art Center. If you have never been to any of the exhibits, I challenge you to go. You will enjoy it.

“Lesson on tax cuts – Have the states that are dealing with a budget shortfall considered looking for ways to tightening their belts rather than raising taxes on us?  Just an idea we need to run by our elected officials.
