Women’s Federated Club to hold Martin Luther King Jr. program

MOULTRIE — The Women’s Federated Club of Moultrie will hold its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day birthday celebration program at 11 a.m. Monday.

This year’s keynote speaker is the Rev. Elizabeth Hill, pastor of Grant Chapel AME Church. The event is at Mother Easter Baptist Church, located at 1400 W. Central Ave., Moultrie.

In addition to the speakers’ reflections on Dr. King’s legacy, the program will also feature the presentation of two prestigious awards: the Community Service Award to Tevores Sumlin and the Community Legend Award to Cynthia Ingram.

This event is free and open to the public.

“Join us as we honor the life and work of Dr. King and celebrate the spirit of community service,” said coordinators.
