City puts SPLOST revenue to work on streets, parks

Pointing out that Thomasville does not levy property taxes, the city relies heavily on SPLOST and Georgia Department of Transportation funding to maintain streets and sidewalks, said Steve Sykes, city manager/utilities superintendent.

The selection of streets to be resurfaced is based on the condition and daily traffic count on each section.
