Goins to speak at Women’s Day

MOULTRIE, Ga. — Mother Easter Baptist Church and its pastor, the Rev. Freddie L. Castle, invite the public to fellowship with them for Women’s Day Observance at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept.   30.

The speaker will Evangelist Teresa Hill-Goins.

Goins was born and raised in Adel to Leroy and Doris Hill. She is the youngest child of seven siblings. She is married to Pastor Tommy L. Goins and is mother to Virginia and Sharod Goins and has five grandchildren, Camron Isaiah Head, Caleb Lamar Head, Tommy S. Jr., Michael L. and Trinity A. Wooten-Goins.

Goins was an active member in her home church at Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ. She developed her relationship with the Lord as a young adult, through the ministry at Mt. Calvary Universal Holiness Church in Morven. She currently attends Friendship Freewill Baptist Church of Valdosta.

As a mother, wife and full-time employee, her enthusiasm for education was not hindered. Goins was ordained as a minister in 1987 through Universal Holiness Church Inc. and graduated from Thomas University in Thomasville in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in social work. She’s working to continue her education in theology. She is employed through the Department of Human Services as an advocate for elderly and disabled adults.
