Woman hit in head with thrown bottle

MOULTRIE, Ga. — A Moultrie woman was taken on Monday to the hospital after being struck in the head with a thrown bottle in the early morning hours.

Te’asti Daniels was in the 800 block of Sixth Street Southeast at about 1 a.m. when she was assaulted, Moultrie police said.

“Somebody threw a bottle at her (and) struck her on the back of her head,” Moultrie Police Department Lt. Raul Leal said.

A 46-year-old woman has been identified as a possible suspect, Leal said. But Daniels, 24, was sparing with details of the incident.

“The report says that she was not cooperating,” Leal said.

Daniels was treated at Colquitt Regional Medical Center and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.
