Bank robbery suspect identified

LIVE OAK, Fla. — The Live Oak Police Department has identified a suspect in Thursday’s bank robbery.

According to Lt. Jason Rountree, 46-year-old Robert Glenn Ray, of Orlando, is the suspect that robbed TD Bank in Live Oak on Thursday.

Ray was two open warrants for bank robbery, one in Seminole County and one in Orange County.

The suspect, a while male wearing a ball cap and a tan jacket, entered the TD Bank branch in Live Oak around 3:40 p.m. and told a teller, “Don’t do anything stupid,” according to authorities.

The man then directed the teller to give him certain denominations of money, adding “don’t give me the money with the stuff in it,” authorities said.

Rountree said the man left with around $2,500 in a maroon Hyundai Elantra that was missing its front bumper around 3:47 p.m.

Within minutes, authorities had responded and a county-wide BOLO had been released.

LOPD Chief Buddy Williams said they were seeking warrants for the suspect Friday morning.
